GENERATING BRICK

shown at the KORSNÄS GUMMI BIENNALE 2004, July 2004.

Generating Brick is a sculpture looking like a Peugeot 605; the scale is like a real Peugeot. Eight couple of legs with big Asses, bigger than normal scale, are holding the car up while "entering" it through the sides and the floor of the car. Two of the leg couples are placed in the front of the car, two and three on each side and one in the back. They are strong and aggressive. They are covered with brick imitation. Black feathers are attached on the black plastic, black fans are standing on the floor; the fans make the feathers move. The area where the legs enter the car becomes activated, the tension, the confrontation is there, it is happening there. The sculpture is made out of pack band, plastic bags, D-C fix, pipes, reinforcing bar, and chicken wire, iron grating I want to thank the Swedish company Dalbolon for their generosity and support by giving me the entire amount of D-C Fix. I was able to make this sculpture because of that. THANK YOU!
