DIVORCE
Sculpture showed at KUMU, Museum of Art in Tallinn- Estonia
Group show SHIFTSCALE.
17 of February- 21 of May 2006

Divorce is set around a frame of a table and four chairs; yet there is no tabletop nor somewhere to sit. The table is made of un-treated wood, toothpicks and barbecue sticks stick out from it. A car is hanging from the roof above the table. There are four tunnels growing out of the car.

The tunnels are made by digging. At the end of each tunnel there are 4 to 6 large spades that look like propellers cutting through them. The car, tunnels, spades, all have a black plastic folie and transparent tape as a surface. Black feathers are attached to both inside and outside of the tunnels. Black electric fans, hung from the roof, are blowing the feathers. The feathers move. Light pertrudes out of the tunnels. The tunnels are open, you can see the spades, the light, the moving feathers: The activity.
